[BackGround Story]

John Wesley Daniel is a pure-blood Towred native with blond hair and blue eyes, born into a wealthy and prestigious military family. Raised under strict military discipline from an early age, he enlisted at a young age and rose rapidly through the ranks, attaining the position of general largely due to his family’s influence and reputation. During his active service as a Towred officer, Daniel was formally assigned to the 211th Iron Hounds, a unit known for its unwavering discipline and frontline operations.

Throughout his military career, Daniel exclusively favored the revolver as his weapon of choice. This preference stemmed from childhood memories of watching classic films featuring revolver-wielding protagonists, leading to a rigid personal code of using no other firearms.

Several years after becoming a general, Daniel encountered Felix while walking through a village, where Felix was engaged in a confrontation with one of Daniel’s own subordinates. After learning the circumstances behind the incident, Daniel later recruited Felix into his unit. Over time, the two formed a close bond and experienced a brief period of stability. However, Daniel grew disillusioned with Towred’s military practices, particularly the systematic torture of foreign prisoners. Unable to tolerate this, he orchestrated a mass escape, attempting to lead numerous captives to freedom.

As a result, Daniel was branded a traitor by Towred, and even his former subordinates were ordered to eliminate him. During the escape, a betrayal by one of the fleeing prisoners exposed the group’s plan, leading to their discovery by Towred soldiers and a subsequent armed clash. In the course of the fighting, Daniel suffered severe burns and life-threatening injuries, leaving him on the brink of death.

Witnessing Daniel’s critical condition, one of the prisoners chose to pass on an unknown power to him, allowing Daniel to barely cling to life despite his grievous wounds. Only after this did the group manage to successfully evade Towred forces and escape pursuit.

Afterward, Daniel’s eyes turned white, and he began experiencing unexplained and unsettling phenomena. Pursued relentlessly by Towred soldiers, he initiated a final escape attempt. During this confrontation, Daniel encountered Felix once more and shot him, leaving Felix behind as Daniel and the remaining prisoners successfully fled.

Having completely severed ties with Towred, Daniel wandered the lawless desert wastelands beyond any nation’s protection, where he later met Kallius Mercer. His journey eventually led him to Wieglington, where he encountered Shadow, and together they formed the covert group known as Dread Circle.

[Activities in the Dread Circle]

After forming the Dread Circle, Daniel began actively confronting unknown and catastrophic entities that posed a direct threat to humanity. Alongside Kallius Mercer and Shadow, who followed his lead, he initiated coordinated operations against these dangers.

Within the group, Daniel actively applied the leadership skills he had developed during his time as a Towred officer, providing crucial guidance in combat operations. In many ways, he serves as the brain of the Dread Circle, responsible for its strategic planning and tactical decisions.

Later, during the Crowleun Earth Invasion Incident, Daniel encountered 4014 and Matthew. During this meeting, he provided them with his contact information, instructing them to reach out should they ever witness or encounter spirits in the future.

[Ability]

Eye of Foresight
After receiving an unknown power from one of the prisoners, Daniel’s eyes turned white and he began experiencing unstable and inexplicable phenomena. Through this transformation, he gained the ability to glimpse hints of future events.
Although Daniel can see the future, he cannot do so at will. His visions often appear without warning, and he is unable to fully understand what future they represent at the time. However, as events draw closer, he is often able to realize the meaning of the visions he was shown.

Piercing Sight
Following the severe burn incident, Daniel acquired the ability to perceive things that are invisible to ordinary human eyes. For example, Shadow possesses the ability to conceal her body and cannot be seen by normal people while hidden, yet Daniel is able to see through this concealment.

This heightened perception also granted him exceptional reflexes and sensory awareness. In combat, he can accurately evade or counter multiple incoming attacks in an instant, eliminate enemies with precise revolver shots, and anticipate opponents’ movements during close-quarters combat.

[Equipment]

Towred Ordnance 7.8 “Red Scar”
Towred Ordnance 7.8 “Red Scar” is a revolver manufactured at the state-owned Towred Ordnance Factory, located within the Towred Empire.
It is Daniel’s cherished personal weapon.

Rust-Covered Tomahawk
An unnamed tomahawk given to Daniel by a tribesperson during his time with Kallius among the Kra’Morin. Despite its weathered appearance, the weapon is remarkably durable. Daniel consistently draws it during close-combat encounters as his primary melee weapon.
