Shadow is a ghostlike being from Purplase world's Vailunae, a member of The Dread Circle, and an inseparable friend and partner of Daniel.

She moves unseen among humans, using her ability to become transparent at will. However, this invisibility fades when she is exposed to intense light or when she sustains injury.
Daniel, whose damaged eye grants him the ability to perceive beings beyond human sight, is one of the few who can still see her even in this state.

She also has a purple highlight dye in her hair, which originated from a brief encounter on Earth, before guiding a lost Vailunae-born girl back to her realm, Shadow spent some time with her, and during that moment, the girl dyed Shadow’s hair together with her.

After the girl dyed her hair purple, she has continued to keep that hairstyle ever since.

Together, Shadow and Daniel work to return the disorderly beings of Vailunae who threaten humanity back to their original world.
Their duties sometimes extend to confronting humans and interdimensional entities that disturb the balance of Earth.

Shadow possesses the ability to merge with darkness and enter her own mysterious realm within it.
As long as light is absent, she can travel freely and silently through any place covered in shadow.

Her main instrument is a strange eyeball-shaped book, a multidimensional prison she uses to weaken and seal Vailunae entities within its pages.
Once contained, these beings are later released back into the world of Vailunae, restoring equilibrium between the realms.
